Laurie's Bey Family
Just a little about my Bey Family and if you want more you'll have to go to my home site.
My grgr Grandparents were Charles and Dorathy Bey. Before 1912 They were living in Secaucus, Children were Harry, Freddie, William, George, And Philip who is my gr grandfather, they had 2 daughters Alice and Sophia. Charles ran a business of grooming, grinding and bottling horse radish. They delivered by horse and buggy to stores and homes. Charles died when his children were young. Dorathy had to sell the business then to move to West Hoboken with the family. Any information please let me know. Laurie :

I recieved this letter from a wonderful lady asking me to place her family on here. Which goes back to Secaucus in 1852. Here is the Bove Family.
Peter Joseph Bove Family from Arhuette, in the Eifel region of Germany, went directly to friends in Secaucus when they arrived in the US about 1852.
A granddaughter of Peter Joseph Bove, Katie Hoffman, married Valmira Montedori about 1920 (?) and lived in Secaucus for many years, as did her children and grandchildren. Valmira Montedori worked for the town of Secaucus, I believe. Son William "Bill" Montadori served in World War II (Army Air Corps?), was a local banker after he returned to Secaucus, died fairly young in the 1960s. Daughter Eleanor married Frederick May and had children JoAnne and son, Fred or Bill. She also died fairly young in the 1960s. I don't know if anyone is left in Secaucus from these relatives of my mother, whom I knew well in the 1940s, as I have lived in Illinois since the 1950s. Later the Boves settled in West Hoboken, but maintained a boat house for pleasure boating in Secaucus (my cousin has a photo of the boathouse, early 1900s, with lots of people around it). If anyone has any other information please contact. Maureen Shelly in Wilmette, IL
